Matcha Cheesecake: A Calm Moment in Every Bite
By Zenara – where indulgence meets inner peace
There’s something special about desserts that make you slow down — creamy textures, gentle flavors, and a touch of ritual. This matcha cheesecake brings all of that together. Earthy, lightly sweet, and beautifully balanced, it’s a treat that feels as good as it tastes.
🍵 Ingredients
For the crust:
1 ½ cups crushed graham crackers (or digestive biscuits)
¼ cup melted butter
2 tbsp sugar
For the filling:
16 oz (450 g) cream cheese, softened
¾ cup sugar
2 large eggs
½ cup sour cream
2 tsp Zenara Matcha
1 tsp vanilla extract
For garnish (optional):
Whipped cream
A light dusting of matcha powder
🌿 Instructions
1. Prepare the crust
Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C). Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until combined. Press into the bottom of a lined 8-inch pan and bake for 10 minutes. Set aside to cool.
2. Make the filling
In a bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and mix again. Then add eggs one at a time, followed by sour cream, vanilla, and Zenara Matcha. Mix until the batter is silky and evenly green.
3. Bake mindfully
Pour the filling over the crust and smooth the top. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the center is just set. Let it cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best).
4. Serve and enjoy
Slice, dust with a little matcha, and savor the calm in each bite.
✨ Zen Tip:
Pair it with a warm matcha latte for the ultimate self-care moment — a balance of calm and comfort.
